Another meaningless day at work
Well, it’s another meaningless day at work. I’m waiting for the new router to show up via UPS so I can hopefully sort out the internet issues here. It’s a real drag to sit here all day without internet access.
I’ve got a few updates to do to the network that I’m dragging my heels on.
Randomness…as usual?
So, I’m looking for jobs. My current employer has managed to mismanage his entire family fortune and now it appears that the business is taking the slow spiral down the bowl. I can’t afford to be dragged along with, so I guess I’m angsting a little.
In other news, it’s 3 days until the KMFDM/Pig concert. Woot. 14 days after that I’m going to see Pigface (for the 3rd time, yay!) and I can’t wait for that. Then the next day my wonderful girlfriend’s birthday! So I’ve got a pretty nifty month ahead of me.
In other other news, I just got a 4U rackmount case that holds _9_ drives and an ATX motherboard off of ebay. This makes me insanely happy and I’ll have to throw the webserver and it’s 6 fibre channel drives into it as soon as it arrives on my doorstep. I can’t wait!

Ok so Thursday is my actual birthday, and I’ve got a live internet radio show to do. I’m almost done with my playlist and while I’m not terribly impressed yet, I know it will go over well enough. Friday will be my yearly buy matt steak and beer night and the list of attendees at this moment appear to be as follows: Carla, Bonnie, Martin, Dave, Ukie, Joe(?) and Luke(?). That should be amusing to say the least. I suppose I’m off to continue to work until I can get home and sleep like the dead.
