I’m not a relgious man, but I am an Irish man…
It is funny how sometimes google brings you words that make your heart a teeny bit happier…
“May you see God’s light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall—
You do not walk alone.”

I also remember from when I was young this one, which has a special place in my heart as well.
“May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
As pissed as I am right now and as much as I feel like I never want to talk to my ex again, a sad corner of my heart does echo the above to her.
I never knew until now that you could be completely and utterly in love with someone, from your hair to your toes and at the same time be so hurt and angry that you never wanted to see them again all at the same time. I guess that is the breadth of human emotion. It also is a pretty good description of what I am feeling right now.
